The Amazing Silent Iron

A long, long time ago in Atascosa County Texas a brindle spotted cow was born and registered as Miss Peeler #58. She gave birth to Caldonia, then the direct line went on for 12 generations to Ranger's Caldonia, Quixote Caldonia, Nifty-Fifty-Five, Bellaire, Good Friday, The Shadow, Shadowizm, Jamakizm, Drag Iron, then the wonderful cow Silent Iron. Miss Peeler 58 was just under 30" tip to tip and now, with over 50 years of careful matings, Silent Iron is 98" at age 5.
The Silent Iron story starts on her birth day May 5, 2013 at Dickinson Cattle Co. She met Joel for her first ear tag, birth weight, selenium shot and a baby photo with her dam close by. This early morning data was emailed to the DCC office to start her permanent record.
As a young age 5 sire, Drag Iron spent the summer with a beautiful female, Super Silent.
Super Silent, being a close friend to Drag Iron, birthed his daughter in 2013.
In October, near weaning time Silent Iron was tall, long and showing style.
After a friendly Summer with Jet Black Chex she was surprised by a beautiful dark brindle speckled calf.
Silent Iron's next family member was a Rodeo Max, soon to be brindle heifer.
At age 4 Silent Iron won 2 Horn Showcase bronze and started embryo donation. She now has embryo pregnancies or calves sired by Jamakizm, Time Line, and Tuff.
At age 5, Silent Iron measures 98" T2T, weighs 1230 lbs and has breakfast in bed every morning. She bested every 2013 born female in the Horn Showcase for T2T and a Composite of 230.625." Thank you Drag Iron and Super Bowl. See her family grow at Dickinson Cattle Co, Barnesville, Ohio.
Since winning the Horn Showcase two years in a row people are calling about her data. It is all printed above on weights and measurements. This is the normal DCC record computer system. The standard vaccination record is normally below, but it is not included. Hope this helps you to evaluate horn growth at different ages. You asked, here it is.
