Sidebar families are a splintering-off from the central genetic direction to pick up new or improved virtues of a specific nature. These serious planned families could be easily named the Drag Iron, the Clear Point, the Tuff, the Silent Iron, the Winchester, etc. Each owns their own unique qualities, or unfortunately flaws--hopefully easy flaws to eliminate. Some of these families take a half dozen or more generations to compile, but some are truly worth it. Here is such a family--a Sidebar Family, within the DCC herd.

Jamakizm, sired by Shadowizm, was the founding genetic base for extended body height, gain, horn, small speck patterns, the dark brown brindles, and a new dimension of correctness not available prior to his coming. He was unrelated enough to be bred to all the popular families and in most every case add some number of virtues.
