It was a soft pleasant early Fall day in Ohio for the 57th Anniversary of Dickinson Cattle Co. All cattle buyers were invited to enjoy a special day just for them in appreciation of their support. And, a great day it was. If you attended you will spot yourself in the photos, and if not, you will wish you were here. Maybe next year?

Chuck and Vicky Stanbery, who had worked with DCC in Colorado, came for the CAD and were great help with Kirk preparing the alligator fillets. Some say Florida alligator tastes like chicken, others say like sweetbreads.

Buns were filled with brisket and pig roasted, plus ranch beans and alligator. After checking it out everyone was invited for seconds of their favorites.

It was no simple task for the DCC Blue Shirts. Preparing enough food for 250 hungry cattle people, having it all hot or cold at the right time--not easy.

Although the DCC pavilion was adequate for previous events an additional tent was added to comfortably accommodate the larger numbers.

Moving 250 people from the ranch pavilion to the working corrals was an issue until Kevin Whitehead showed up with an empty pot cattle semi. All loaded in the big trailer. Plenty of room for a "people herd" before loading his cattle.

Guests were off loaded in the regular cattle chute with no 'downers' or cripples coming off the truck.

During other entertainment, the DCC tour buses moved through the Longhorn pastures with narrated educational excursions.

Part of the event was the purchase of semen for the spring breeding season. Several popular new bulls, Giver and Point Wish were first available.

As a beautiful Ohio day at DCC came to an end, trucks and trailers loaded up leaving the corrals empty. Thanks to all attending. It was our honor to provide this day for you. See you the last Saturday in September 2025.
