THE 59TH ANNUAL DICKINSON CATTLE CO special CUSTOMER APPRECIATION EVENT was held, as every year, Sept 26. Here is a graphic presentation to show a bit of the color and pomp of the event. Attendees RSVP'd from 17 states. It was a beautiful Ohio day.
-
The day started at 58 degrees and the fog departed to a nice 75 degrees. -
Family, ranch hands, and tour staff were there to make it a great day. -
The Appalachian foot hills were decorated with beautiful cattle. -
Cattle buyers brought shiny trailers to take home fancy calves. -
A younger attendee was Liam McWilliams--great grand son. -
Linda Dickinson and Kara Dickinson Doering. Food, accounting, and decor. -
Kirk Dickinson torching the #15 shrimp and prime rib. -
Joel slices the prime rib 1", 2" or 3," as in the case of Keith Berkeley, DVM and David Richardson. -
A serious part of the educational demonstration was methods of evaluation of weanling bulls and how to divide them into herd sire prospects, ropers, feeders or exhibition steers. This is very detailed, but piece by piece was a great display with Doug Burris, Darol Dickinson and Joel Dickinson on the finer points. -
Two of the Dickinson Cattle Co facilities. The upper working corals and lower store and offices. -
The food pavilion seemed to calm the natives down to a quiet lunch between procedure demonstrations. -
Chet Welch, puts the loving touch on famous 103" T2T Jam Box. -
ITLA board member Gary Lake adds the professional touch to a younger cowhand in preparation for the National Finals. -
CAD friends loved all the new products in the LHTT store. -
Lessons on the fine points of perfect hot iron branding by Doug Burris are always popular. -
After the demonstrations 23 trailers were lined up to load precious Texas Longhorn cargo going to all points for new homes.
It was truly an honor to enjoy the attendance of great Texas Longhorn lovers from all over. See you next year on September 25, 2027.
