Congratulations to Nancy Carter Dunn of Eclectic, AL on the sale of her beautiful Texas Longhorn cow Dunn Lucky Dice in the Legacy Sale, Grapevine, TX on March 20.

The serious bidders for Dunn Lucky Dice were Mike & Kali Smith at a sweet $200,000. The previous high selling cow at auction was Danica who was purchased for $380,000 in 2017.

Dunn Lucky Dice was bred and raised by Nancy Dunn. She was born 11/14/12. She is a stunning tan brindle speckled color with 101.25" horns tip to tip, gentle disposition and show winning correct conformation. There was no question she was the "knock-out" cow of all the consignments.

Nancy has a reputation for producing high quality Texas Longhorn cattle, yet is not a speculator who trades, sells and buys as a routine. She mostly raises quality cattle, participates in futurities and private markets her own raised cattle. She says the highest price she ever paid for a Texas Longhorn was to Dickinson Cattle Co for the weaning age heifer, Iron Twist by Drag Iron for $3,500, which we hope she did well with.
